Today is Tue, 27th Jul, 2021 | Surgery open between 8:30am - 6:00pm

Welcome to Doctors Lane Surgery

From 12.30pm on the afternoon of 7th July 2021 the staff will be undertaking training, and therefore the practice will be closed.

If you need a doctor between 12.30pm noon and 6.30pm please call 0300 123 3112.  After 6.30pm please call 111.

We will re-open at the usual time the next day.

As always, we are here when you need us: things just might look a little different.  All patients who wish to see a doctor or a nurse must first speak to a clinician by telephone to be triaged. If the clinician feels like they need to see you face-to-face, they will arrange that with you directly.

Walk in Pfizer COVID19 vaccination clinic

Saturday 3 July 2021, Tennants, Leyburn - 9am to 12noon

This is open to ANYONE from ANYWHERE over 18 years of age who hasn’t had a 1st dose. It’s the Pfizer vaccine.

Anyone who attends must be able to attend Tennants for their second dose on Saturday 28 August 2021 (they will be given their second dose appt time when they get their first dose).

It’s first come, first served. With it being a walk in clinic, there is the possibility of a queue - the team will do their very best to get everyone through swiftly and efficiently but everyone who is vaccinated has to be observed for 15 minutes so there may be a slight wait at times. Please be patient with the team who will be working hard to get everyone through.

Data sharing

We are aware that there has been some information in the press recently around the Primary Care (Doctors Surgeries) and data sharing. As a result, we are recieveng a lot of enquiries about 'opting out' of sharing data for medical planning and research. Before you make this decision, please visit this website, which explains what is, and what is not, collected and why, and how to opt out if this is still what you want to do.

International Travel

From 17 May 2021, people in England who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can demonstrate their vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine. Vaccine status will be available from:

It may take more than a week for your identity to be checked and verified so you can use this service.

If you cannot access the online services, and you have had 2 vaccines, you can request a paper letter from the NHS by calling 119. Only call 119 if you are due to travel abroad in the near future and have had your second dose more than 5 working days ago. It may take 7 working days for the letter to arrive.

This practice is not able to provide you with a letter that shows your COVID-19 vaccination status.

When you're planning your travel, check the latest information on demonstrating your COVID-19 status when travelling abroad on the gov.uk website. Make sure there is time to get  proof of your vaccination status before you leave.
