telephone
Today is Fri, 19th Apr, 2024 | Surgery open between 8:30am - 5:00pm Closed Bank Holidays

Welcome to Doctors Lane Surgery

Please be reminded that ALL patients who wish to see a doctor must first speak to a clinician by telephone to be triaged. If the clinician feels that you need to be seen face-to-face, they will arrange that with you directly. As such, we no longer operate a 'Walk-in' surgery, but ask you to contact us via telephone first.

Please note that we only accept telephone orders for medication between 2pm and 4pm each day.

Order prescriptions online

This makes it much easier for patients with on-the-day clinical needs to get through to the practice to speak to a Doctor or a nurse. You can still drop your order off in person at the Surgery, or at Barton Post Office, but the quickest, and safest, way to order your medication is online via the NHS app or through SystmOnline

To register for SystmOnline, wou will need a unique username and password which must be collected in person. To register for the NHS app, download it onto your smart-device, and follow the steps.

Accessing your GP-held records via the NHS app or NHS website

As your GP practice, we have been asked by NHS England to provide you with access to your full medical record via the NHS app (and NHS website) if you have a suitable NHS login, from 31 October 2023. As a practice we have decided to ask your permission first, as this gives us a chance to check your understanding, and be sure access to your data is safe for you. We are aware that not everyone will want access to their full record on the internet at this time, and some patients may have concerns about their personal medical records being made available on their smartphones or online, especially if other people have access to their devices. If you already have this level of access, you will still have this. If you don’t have this level of access, but would like it, please contact the surgery, and we are happy to discuss this with you, and to provide this. Please visit this page for further information.

Online Consultations

Consult a Doctor, nurse or other member of the practice team online. Please note that Online Consultations are only for routine, non-urgent queries. We will respond to you within two working days. If you have a concern that needs addressing the same day, or more urgently, please call the practice. Click here to try it.

Better access - More appointments available.

More routine primary care appointments are available to people living in our area. Patients registered at GP practices in Richmondshire can pre-book a routine primary care appointment between 6:30pm and 8pm weekdays and between 8:30am and noon on Saturdays. Please note this is not a walk-in service – speak to a member of the practice team for more information or to book an appointment.
